Special Olympics district basketball skills were held at Decatur High School in Leon on Jan. 20th. 1st place athletes advancing to state are Abby Swanson Banks, Rose Mcgee, Shawn Gilbride, Caleb Kennedy, Blake Tomlinson, & Karen Bush. 2nd place finishers were Judy Bush, Dominique Rewarts, & Lexi Willcox. 3rd place was Sam Stephens. Congrats, Athletes! Participating in the state unified cheer competition will be Rose M, Lexi W, Abby S-B, Dominique R, and Sam S. Cheer and basketball will be held in Iowa City on March 14th and 15th.
Drew also carried the Special Olympics flag!
