🌟🎶 Winterset Junior High Band Shines Bright! 🎶🌟 Did you know that Winterset Junior High is home to one of the BEST junior high bands in the state? 🎉 Today, our amazing WJH Band received a I+ rating at the Large Group Contest in Knoxville—the HIGHEST rating a band can achieve at this contest! 🏆👏 It’s always a pleasure to watch our talented students perform, and they truly brought the house down! A HUGE shoutout to Paul Lichty for leading the band with such passion and dedication. Great job, students—you made us all proud! 🎺🥁🎷 Keep making beautiful music, WJH Band! Winterset Junior High's Spring Dance: Neon Edition Was a Blast! 🎉 What an electrifying night at our Spring Dance themed Neon! 🌟 Tons of students showed up and had a fantastic time dancing the night away, playing dodgeball, enjoying musical chairs, and even getting in a little knockout action! 🎶💃 A huge shoutout to Ms. Criswell and the WJH Student Council for organizing and executing such an amazing event! 🙌 And let’s give it up for Mr. Bradley, who kept the tunes pumping as our fabulous DJ! 🎧🎵 A big thank you to all the Junior High staff who came out to chaperone and support our students. 🌟 Winterset Junior High's Exciting Employer Visit to a Des Moines Radio Station! 🌟 We're thrilled to share that our students had an incredible opportunity to visit a real-life radio station in the Des Moines area! 🎤✨ During this engaging employer visit, they learned about various careers in the field of media and communication. Students attended informative sessions led by professionals in the industry, including the Advancement Director, On-Air Personality, Production, Administrative Specialist, Outreach Coordinator, and Program Director. They gained valuable insights into the diverse career pathways available in media. One of the highlights of the visit was when students had the chance to record an advertisement in a real studio! They then learned how the recorded material is edited and produced for radio—an exciting hands-on experience that truly brought the world of media to life! At Winterset Junior High, we are committed to providing our students with real-world learning experiences that prepare them for their future careers.

🌟 Wrapping Up Passion Activities! 🌟 Today marked the last day of Passion Activities during WIN, and what a great way to end! ☀️ Students had the opportunity to play outside, work on the yearbook, spend time in the gym, enjoy card games, or simply relax with a good book. It was fantastic to see so many students soaking up the nice weather and engaging in activities they enjoy. A big thank you to our staff for making this possible and to our students for bringing such great energy each week! 🎉

🎶 Band-O-Rama Brilliance! 🎶 Last night, our 5th-12th grade band students put on an unforgettable performance at Band-O-Rama! From middle school to junior high to high school, our talented musicians shined on stage, showcasing their dedication, hard work, and passion for music. 🎺🥁🎷 The Winterset Community School District’s tradition of musical excellence continues, and last night was a perfect example of that. These students put in the time, effort, and creativity to share their projects with our community, and we couldn’t be more proud. As a token of appreciation, all presenters enjoyed a pizza lunch and received a "Best Junior High in Iowa" drawstring bag! 🖤💛 👏 Big shoutout to all our students for their dedication and hard work—you continue to make Winterset Junior High proud!

Students engaged in five information sessions focused on: 🔹 Precision Ag 🔹 Field Support Team 🔹 Sales 🔹 Parts 🔹 Service A huge shoutout to Agrivision for providing such a valuable learning experience! One major theme that stood out throughout the day was that no matter the career path at Agrivision, success requires effective communication, collaboration, innovative thinking, being a self-starter, and having a growth mindset—skills that are essential in every profession.
