Our student council organized a great student dance tonight to celebrate a great year. Who would of thought Party
in the USA would be the song that brought everyone to the dance floor? Great memories!

The growth our students make in one year is so neat to witness. Our JH band performed for one last time tonight and did fantastic. Thanks Ms. VanDerWeide and all those that support our fine arts program.

7th and 8th grade choir sounded wonderful during their final performance of the school year. Special thanks to Mr. Huston for his leadership this year.

Betsy Breeding with Realty One Group Impact was our sponsor for the April Student of the Month program. We are proud of the 8 student winners for finishing the school year as strong as they had started!

A school principal is the head of a school and is in charge of all its daily activities and maintaining its various systems. They have to be confident, diligent, organized, good leaders, effective planners, and competent enough to execute said plans. They also have to be understanding and empathetic in order to maintain peace within the school environment and create an atmosphere that allows students and staff to thrive. Good principals are also responsible towards their community and guide their school in providing as much support to the community as possible. Mr. Heyer, the WJH Principal, is all of this and even more! Our district is so fortunate to have him lead the Junior High. Thank you for all that you do, we appreciate you! Happy Principal's Day!

JH students were able to go roller skating during physical education class Thursday and Friday. Great opportunity for our students to explore alternative physical activities they can do in the community.

Please see the attached flyer about a great opportunity the Iowa State Extension and Outreach is offering. The flyer has also been added to the JH Electronic Backpack.

April's CKH newsletter has been added to the WJH Electronic Backpack. Be sure to check it out!

Shout out to these students for doing amazing things over the last month! The Student of the Month program was sponsored by the Winterset Kiwanis. Thanks to both groups for all that you do for our school!!
